The National Treasury has issued a letter to provide guidance with regards to the duration of the Service Level Agreements entered between municipalities and FMS service providers in terms of the RT25-2016 transversal tender.
Attached is the letter confirming that all Service Level Agreements that were entered into in terms of the RT25-2016 transversal tender, will continue for a period of not exceeding 60 months subject to the provisions of section 33 of the MFMA.
The 60 months term is calculated from the date on which the Service Level Agreement between the Municipality and its FMS service provider was first entered into.
This means that although the RT25-2016 transversal tender has expired, the service level agreement that your municipality has with Munsoft remains valid and may run up to a period of 60 months.
