Cashflow and Balance Sheet Budgeting Workshop-April 2020

Dear Client,

We had great success from the previous Cashflow and Balance Sheet Budgeting Workshop that was held in February 2020 and we are now offering another session in April 2020.

Why is it important to attend?

It was emphasized in the MFMA Circular No.98 (see attached) that there is still incorrect usage of the mSCOA and municipal accounting practices.

It was further highlighted that some municipalities are not budgeting, transacting and reporting directly  within a financial system, as well as not locking their adopted budgets respectively.

This has led to loss of credibility of the data strings due to the incorrect use of the 6 regulated segments.

It was further stated that all municipalities must prepare their 2020/21 MTREF budgets in their financial systems and that the Schedule A1 be produced directly from their financial system.

It is imperative that municipalities populate SA30/SC30 when submitting cash flow figures.

Who should attend?

Managers involved in budget preparation.
