The Regional Client Relations Director is in charge of maintaining (creating) business partnerships & relationships with clients.  Strong balance of both strategic planning and active hands on approach is a must. This is a hands-on role with deep involvement in execution, leading from the front.  Role Reports directly to the Head of Sales & Marketing and forms part of the Sales Leadership Team. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create and foster strong professional relationships at all levels within the client environment
  • Create a strong sales pipeline and generate leads 
  • Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets
  • Engage with new client prospects and ensure the company is well represented in engagements such as demo’s and presentations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the clients' efficiencies through the introduction of additional product & service offerings
  • Assist with the go to market strategy and plan as well as serve as a valuable enabler to close business in our current client base leveraging relationships
  • Strategically advise with coordination and the submission of professional tender responses, proposals and quotes
  • Interact with clients and other external stakeholders to Implement company Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Strategy with the support of the back-office team
  • Assist with client contract negotiations as and when Executive interaction is required. 
  • Facilitate the screening of potential Reseller/Field Agents and introduce them to relevant company framework 
  • Assist with escalations from client’s executive/senior/political level to the business in the event of such occurrences.
  • Assist in all client financial queries including collection of outstanding invoices

Requirements:

  1. Degree/National Diploma in Business/Accounting/ Administration or related field
  2. Proven track record as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
  3. Ability to influence and build credibility across all levels with collaborative relationships
  4. Good understanding of the Local Government landscape and the ICT systems
  5. Well-connected in Public Sector, and experience negotiating at an executive level with good communication skills
  6. Self-starter able to prioritize given responsibilities  and problem solving skills
  7. Strong organizational and planning skills with an ability to work under pressure & tight deadlines
  8. Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask in non-routine environment
  9. Strong ICT Solution and business skills. 
  10. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  11. Experienced in regional people management, team-oriented, able to communicate efficiently internally to ensure full buy-in
  12. Ability to travel
