Executive Finance Manager is an influential and client facing role, overseeing the financial operations of Munsoft. Role Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and forms part of the MANCO.

The Executive Finance Manager is responsible is responsible for managing and leading the financial initiatives of Munsoft and will work closely with ITNA Group finance. The role involves comprehensive financial oversight, including managing debtors, budget compilation, monthly expense management, and overseeing travel and expense claims. This position reports directly to CEO and offers a significant opportunity to contribute to the strategic financial direction of Munsoft.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Debtor Management: Ensure all clients meet their financial obligations to Munsoft in a timely manner.
  • Budget Compilation: Lead the preparation of comprehensive budgets, aligning financial resources with strategic objectives.
  • Monthly Expenses Management: Oversee and manage all business monthly expenses to ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Travel and Expense Claims: Manage and streamline the processing of travel and expense claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Financial Management and Reporting: Generate essential financial data, compile and submit detailed reports, and conduct thorough analysis of industry trends to assess the financial health of Munsoft.
  • Policy and Procedure Oversight: Oversee the finance department’s operations and development, including the creation and review of policies, and conduct regular assessments of financial procedures.
  • Strategic Financial Advice: Provide strategic financial advice to colleagues and executive management to support informed decision-making related to the company’s finances.
  • Office Consumables Management: Ensure the office is well-stocked with monthly consumables, maintaining an optimal working environment.
  • Creditor Payments: Ensure all Munsoft’s creditors are paid timeously, maintaining positive and professional relationships.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  2. A professional certification (e.g., CiMA, ACCA, CA(SA)) is preferred.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial / client management, or in a similar role, preferably within the tech or public sector.
  4. Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements, especially those pertaining to Local Government and mSCOA Regulations.
  5. Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to advise and influence executive management.
  7. Demonstrated excellence in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting, with a strong proficiency in financial software and systems.
  8. Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  9. Exemplary leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and manage teams towards achieving excellence in financial operations.
  10. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  11. Experienced in regional people management, team-oriented, able to communicate efficiently internally to ensure full buy-in
  12. Ability to travel
